Did Warzone just kill CoD on Mobile?

🎮 Top Story: Did Warzone just kill CoD on Mobile?

Do you know just how massive the Call of Duty franchise is? After Mario, Tetris, and Pokémon, it’s the game IP that has sold the most copies in the world!

So they must be too big to lose, right? Right?… well, take a look at these stats from analytics company Appmagic:

• CoD Mobile launch: $17.8m revenue, 72.6m installs 

• CoD: Warzone Mobile launch: $2.8m revenue, 21.9m installs

Yep, that’s a 70% decrease in installs. If you’ve read my review of Warzone Mobile, you know that the game has been plagued by technical issues. But still, that’s a big drop in interest for a massive game.

While CoD Mobile will continue to be popular, I think many have lost faith in the franchise after the launch of Warzone. So I doubt we’ll see another massive CoD mobile release anytime soon.
