TouchArcade Shuts Down and EA Reveals New Social App

In today's newsletter: TouchArcade shuts down, 2 premium games are currently FREE, Palword Mobile might be in development, and some great games have been reviewed on MiniReview.io!

🎮 EA announces a new social interactive app featuring its sports games

EA is often the butt of the joke in online communities, but hundreds of millions of players keep playing their mobile games (EA Sports FC alone has 500m+ downloads!).

And now, it seems they’re soon launching an app for their community of players, called “EA Sports App”, which soft-launches in Spain this fall.

According to GamingonPhone, the app “promises to connect, engage, and reward sports fans by blending real and virtual sports content.”. What exactly that means we’ll have to wait and see.

To be honest, I think the app is mostly meant as a way to eventually drive even more sports fans to their mobile games. But what if a company you liked better made a community app for their games? Check out the poll at the bottom to share what you think.
