🎮 Top Story: Will Supercell’s Squad Busters Succeed?

Supercell is known for great games canceling mobile games before they release. In fact, they haven’t released a game since Brawl Stars in 2018, but they’ve canceled 7 since!

So when Squad Busters soft-launched 2 days ago, I was excited to try it out but nervous that I’d love it only for it to be canceled (first impressions; it’s a fun, more casual version of Brawl Stars).

But Supercell isn’t alone. Subway Surfers is the most downloaded mobile game of all time, and there has been no successful follow-up from its developer. And even when Candy Crush devs King made a Crash Bandicoot game, it failed.

I guess having billions of dollars doesn’t necessarily make it easier to make a good mobile game (hurray for indies! <3).
