🎮 Behind the Scenes: How a tiny Finnish team created the most popular party platformer

In 2020, the 250-person team at game developer “Mediatonic” published their popular party platformer, Fall Guys on PC and consoles.

Unfortunately for them, they didn’t have a mobile version ready. So when a 6-person team in Finland decided to create a similar game for mobile, it blew up. As in; blew up! It quickly gained 225m downloads and 20m daily active players.

And just a few months later, they sold the game to mobile game publisher Scopely. This is a truly crazy story about how a small team beat a large studio at their own game, and you can read more about it here.

It just comes to show that mobile should not be underestimated - something many AAA studios still haven’t fully understood.
