🎮 How about a “TikTok of Games”?
What if games were so small and hypercasual that you could explore and play them via a TikTok-like feed, and even build your own games just like in Roblox?
If you, like me, prefer hardcore mobile games, this might not sound all that interesting. But there are millions, if not billions, of casual mobile gamers out there - and they’re the ones a new app called Smirk is trying to attract.
Although Roblox succeeded at getting players to create their own games, it’s not an easy model to pull off. Not to mention that TikTok themselves recently stopped their own initiative that let you play casual games directly in their app - and maybe for good reason?
I think the platform has an uphill battle ahead, but I still love to see innovation in mobile game creation tools. What do you think? :)
