🎮 Is Nintendo Giving up on Mobile?

With the end of support for Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart Tour no longer receiving new content, many were wondering if Nintendo was giving up on mobile.

But!…

In a recent investor call, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa mentioned that “while we cannot disclose future app development details, we are actively working on new mobile games”.

He also said that “given that many people now experience their first games on smartphones rather than on Nintendo hardware, we have been exploring how to leverage this trend.”

So it looks like Nintendo is here to stay, and we can all look forward to more mobile titles from one of the world’s most renowned developers (Zelda, anyone?).
