🎮 Next up for Netflix games: an AI-powered Stardew Valley-alike and dual-screen gaming?
According to new Netflix job postings spotted by mobilegamer.biz, Netflix might be working on three major new projects:
An AI-powered Stardew Valley-like life sim with ‘frenetic action gameplay with a lighthearted twist’.
A cloud gaming platform that will likely let you play games instantly by streaming instead of downloading them.
A dual-screen ‘narrative-driven, action-arcade game’ - whatever that means (maybe they’re talking about games you play on the TV using your phone as a second screen and/or controller?)
Personally, I’m most excited about the Stardew Valley-like game, while I’m more skeptical about the dual-screen games. And ironically, it now sounds like Netflix might make the “Netflix of games” themselves, with their new cloud streaming project.
