Mobile Esports Coming to the West with $15m🚀

🎮 Honor of Kings announces $15 million investment and a refined league system for its worldwide esports

Mobile Esports is a massive industry (PUBG Mobile alone paid out $16m to winners in 2024!), but most of the large teams and leagues are focused on Asia.

That might soon change, however, as the team behind Honor of Kings has just announced they’ll spend $15m on tournaments this year and focus more on worldwide leagues.

As reported by GamingonPhone, Honor of Kings has three global tournaments planned for 2025, including an “Honor of Kings World Cup”, and an “International Championship”.

This won’t magically make mobile esports popular in regions like North America and Europe, but it’s a step in the right direction. So if you’re into MOBAs and esports, you might want to keep an eye on these new international tournaments.
