Is Ubisoft Planning Far Cry Mobile?👀

🎮 Tencent makes massive deal with Ubisoft

A few days ago, Ubisoft announced that Tencent Games has invested $1.26 billion in a new subsidiary that will control the Ubisoft franchises Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six.

With Tencent owning 25% of this newly-formed company, it’s clear that Ubisoft is planning to bring more games to mobile, potentially as cross-platform releases. As they mentioned in their announcement, they plan to build “evergreen, multi-platform game ecosystems“.

But that begs the question… since a Rainbow Six and an Assassin’s Creed game are already in the works for mobile, could Far Cry be next? It is starting to seem likely, as also pointed out by GamingonPhone.

Let’s hope Ubisoft and Tencent get this right. And in the meantime, remember that the premium game Prince of Persia: Lost Crown is being ported to mobile on April 14th.
