🎮 Xiaomi’s WinPlay will let you play Windows Games on an Android tablet
Xiaomi just announced WinPlay, a virtualisation engine that allows you to play Windows games on your Android tablet. The platform lets you play your steam games on your tablet, and this might be a game-changer as so many games will become available on phones through a virtualisation engine like this.
However, mobile games and PC games are different - naturally these games have to offer some sort of mobile support, otherwise we doubt the experience will be very interesting for those playing the games.
Maybe, if we’re lucky, software like this will help push more PC games to have a ported version, or at least a mobile-friendly version with added touch controls, so we have even more games to enjoy.
Xiaomi reports excellent performance on the platform, as the Director of Mobile Systems states:
“From our comparative data, after the virtualization of Xiaomi WinPlay engine, the GPU performance loss of Xiaomi Tablet 6S Pro 12.4 was only 2.9%, and the translation efficiency was excellent.”
