EA Shutting Down 8 Games!🤯 PLUS: great new mobile games

🎮 Electronic Arts (EA) is shutting down eight mobile games in January 2025

Remember Glu? Yeah, the developer of early mobile games like Guitar Hero Mobile and Deer Hunter. They were acquired by EA in 2021 for $2.4 billion - but now EA is closing down almost all their remaining games.

After January 2025, Contract Killer: Sniper, Deer Hunter Classic, Frontline Commando 2, and five other titles will disappear for good (GamingonPhone has the full list).

And this comes hot off the heels of EA shutting down The Simpsons: Tapped Out and that strangely popular Kim Kardashian game earlier this year.

But to be honest, it’s no surprise. These Glu games are simply not up to par with the much larger titles from companies like MiHoYo or Playrix that target the same audiences.

“We are really going to miss trying to avoid you around here.”
