🎮 Top Story: Disney is reportedly exploring acquiring a major game publisher like EA
According to Bloomberg, Disney executives are urging their CEO, Bob Iger, to start a "bolder transformation" of Disney's video game division by buying a publisher like EA.
And it makes sense! From Plants vs. Zombies to The Sims, and Fifa Mobile, EA has tens of millions of mobile gamers. Unfortunately, most of their games are very heavily monetized…
And the few games many actually looked forward to, such as Apex Legends and Battlefield Mobile, both got shut down in the past 12 months.
So what happens if Disney buys EA? It’s hard to imagine things can get worse, but we’ll likely see lots more Star Wars and Marvel games. Hurray?
