🎮 Top Story: Age of Empires on Mobile?!

The old PC classic Age of Empires is coming to mobile on August 19th 2024, and pre-registrations have already opened. Just like me, I’m sure many of you have spent your childhood playing this game, so Microsoft better get this one right!

I truly hope I don’t have to throw a “Look How They Massacred My Boy” meme at Xbox Game Studio on Twitter after release because they turned one of the all-time best RTS games into a pay-to-win city-builder. Time will tell…

In general, I’m happy to see big game publishers breathe new life into popular PC games by creating mobile versions. I can’t wait for Path of Exile Mobile, or the Elden Ring mobile version we covered a few weeks back.

But execution is key! Because really popular PC titles can quickly become really bad mobile games if they don’t get the monetization right.
